The missions team of Christ Community Church exists to glorify God by directing and overseeing our missions outreach, both locally and globally, in obedience to Christ's great commission and in alignment with the vision and values of Christ Community Church.

MISSIONS AWARENESS MONTH SCHEDULE FOR FEBRUARY 2010

Every Sunday in February we will be focusing on our church vision for overseas and home missions.  We will have our missionaries and church plants share God’s work in their ministries. We will also have special programs for our Kid’s Town ministry and InnerMission youth group. Our month will conclude with our Faith Promise Commitments on Sunday, February 28th when everyone is encouraged to make their Faith Promise pledge for 2010 towards missions.

February 7

C&E Adult class (9am) – Questions and Answers with Dr. McKay Caston, Pastor of Creekstone Church.

Worship Service (10:30am) – Dr. McKay Caston will be our guest preacher. He will also update us on his church plant.

February 14

C&E Adult class (9am) – Dr. Sam Larsen – “What is the Great Story of God’s Redemptive – Historical Masterpiece?”

Worship Service (10:30am) – A video update on the Robertson’s from Guadalajara, Mexico and information on the upcoming mission trip to the Robertson’s.

February 21

C&E Adult class (9am) – Dr. Sam Larsen – “What is the Global Picture Today?”

Worship Service (10:30am) – A live link update with the Mill’s in Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Sam Larsen will be our guest preacher.

Prayer at the Property (12:30pm-3pm) – Join us at Swift-Cantrell park with your packed lunch and then go over to the church property and pray for our church and community.  Please park at Kennesaw Elementary school and then walk to park and church property from there.

February 28

C&E Adult Class (9am) – Dr. Sam Larsen – “How can we find ‘bridges’ to engage others with the gospel?”

Worship Service (10:30am) – A video update on the Mateo’s from Emmanuel Church. We will make our faith promise commitments to support our missionaries.

  • Commitment is from February 2008-January 2009 Contact (i.e. letter, phone, or email) missionary once/month
  • Send care package/gift twice a year (Birthday & Christmas)
  • Pray for your missionary regularly and frequently

Georgia Church Planting Families

  • Only one CCC family per church-planting family
  • Commitment is from February 2008-January 2009
  • Send a Birthday card to each family member on his/her birthday
  • Send a care package to the family at Christmas
  • Pray for your church-planting family regularly/frequently
