Please bring any of these items for donation to any member of the Thailand team (John & Amy Huff, Brian & Mandy Stock, Lee & Miriam Tindall, Phil & Lynn Wofford) before they leave July 24th. Or you can bring items by the church office M-W 8:30-5.
UPDATE: CHURCH SEEKS REZONING FOR PROPERTY
The latest unexpected news on our due diligence is the need to seek rezoning for the property near the intersection of Jiles Road and Main St. in Kennesaw across from Kenn. Elem. School. This will need to be done prior to closing on the property. Please be in prayer as this will delay our closing on the property for two months. Pray that God would use our church representatives to move the process along and acquire our new zoning. The sewer access is still progressing forward so that we will also have access resolved in a few weeks.
PASTOR MIKE’S FAMILY RENEWAL AND STUDY LEAVE
Pastor Mike and his family are currently on vacation, after which Mike will be taking two weeks for study and preparation for the upcoming ministry year. Please pray that God would renew them as a family and deepen their relationships with God and each other. Pray that God would bless Mike with key insights and understanding as he considers the direction for our church this next year. If you have a pastoral need in Mike’s absence, please contact Elder J. Doig at 770-876-7434.
COMMUNITY GROUPS
These groups are an important means of fellowship, equipping and encouragement for the adults of CCC. There are various groups which meet at different locations and times during the week. All groups will be taking a break for the summer but will relaunch in the fall.
COVENANT GROUPS FOR MEN AND WOMEN
These groups are the primary discipleship structure in our adult ministry at CCC. Each group is gender specific and has 4-6 members and makes a commitment for the school year. Our current groups are finishing up for the summer. New groups will be formed and launched in September. If you have never participated in a group and would like to be contacted or find out more about these groups, please call the church office by August so you can be part of a group in the fall.

Our new staff pastor is Zack Carden. Zack is a graduate of Covenant Seminary and is an ordained PCA pastor and has been working as a pastor/leader in youth and children's ministry for the past six years in the local church. Most recently, Zack has led a ministry of 200 children and 100 youth in a local church and has a deep passion for reaching the next generation with the gospel. Zack and his wife, Tennyson, have been married over ten years and have four children - Seth (7), Talbot (5), Cole (3), and Halle (1).

WOMEN OF CHRIST COMMUNITY (WOCC)
The women of CCC have recently organized all the ministry efforts under one ministry called Women of Christ Community. The purpose of the W.O.C.C. is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world. In order to accomplish this purpose there are presently five areas of ministry in which to get involved. Those areas are: Discipleship Ministry, Connecting Ministry, Hospitality Ministry, Caregiving Ministry, and Retreat/Conference Ministry. If you desire to serve in an area, please call Lisa Lucas at 678-581-0988.
CHURCH CASTS UNANIMOUS VOTE FOR LAND PURCHASE!
On May 18, at our congregational meeting, the church body voted unanimously to pursue the purchase of the property near the intersection of Jiles Road and Main St. in Kennesaw across from Kenn. Elem. School. We would seek to acquire 8 acres initially and have an option on the remaining 6 acres. Please be in prayer for the final details of due diligence on the property to be completed, especially sewer access.
FUTURE PERMENANT HOME IDENTIFIED!
The relocation team has now identified 14 acres in a prime location near the intersection of Jiles Road and Main St. in Kennesaw across from Kenn. Elem. School. We would seek to acquire 8 acres initially and have an option on the remaining 6 acres. Due diligence on the property regarding its viability is currently being pursued. Pray for God to either affirm this location or lead us elsewhere.
