Dear Family at CCC,

We will have a Good Friday service on Friday at 6:30 pm. The children will be in the abbreviated service with us. This will be John Porterfield's first time preaching at CCC. Please be praying for him as he prepares.

On Easter,  please take the opportunity to be hospitable by sitting more towards the front and middle to provide those visiting and the ushers with easily accessible seats. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would draw visitors that need to be encouraged in and by the Lord's hospitable invitation to the eternal and abundant life.

In preparation for this weekend, please consider this quote from B.B. Warfield in The Emotional Life of Our Lord:

"Joy (Jesus) had: but it was not the shallow joy of mere pagan delight in living, nor the delusive joy of a hope destined to failure, but the deep exaltation of a conqueror setting captives free. This joy underlay all his sufferings and shed its light along the whole thorn-beset path."
