“In Revelation’s final portrait, John ransacks human language and experience to find images adequate to convey the new Jerusalem splendor. Jesus calls us to see his church through his eyes and to have our hearts gripped by her beauty, as his heart is enraptured by his love for her.”

Revelation 22:1-5
“(This) is a restoration of Eden and even better. It is not just the expulsion from the Garden that is now ‘undone’, but the presence of God and of light and life is even greater and more intimate than it had been for Adam and Eve in the first place. Eden had been, in effect, a physical prophecy of the new heaven and new earth, but what it pointed forward to is even greater and more special than that original garden.”
