Gracious and Merciful Father,

We come before you to confess our sin as Your redeemed and beloved children. May Your Spirit alone convict us of our sin and remind us of our pardon in Christ through repentance.

We confess that we often fail to recognize wisdom’s validity as an expression of Your love for us (Proverbs 8:12-21).

We confess that we frequently refuse to acknowledge wisdom’s authority as expressed in its joyous relationship with all of Your Creation (Proverbs 8:22-31).

We confess that we sometimes refuse to go where we know that wisdom can be found causing injury to ourselves despite Your gracious warnings (Proverbs 8:32-36).

We confess these things before You because You are faithful to forgive us in Christ. Bless us with the assurance of our pardon by Your Holy Spirit in Christ alone by faith alone through Your grace alone from Your Word.
