Gracious and Merciful Father,

We come before you to confess our sin as Your redeemed and beloved children. May Your Spirit alone convict us of our sin and remind us of our pardon in Christ through repentance.

We confess that we don’t know Your word well enough to protect us from both the devil and ourselves (Genesis 3:1-5).

We confess that we sometimes call things that are evil good and things that are good evil (Genesis 3:6-7).

We confess that we struggle to take responsibility for the sins we commit (Genesis 3:8-13).

We confess that we fail to see Your grace in the midst of our failings and Your discipline (Genesis 3:14-24).

We confess all of these things before You because You are faithful to forgive us in Christ. Bless us with the assurance of our pardon by Your Holy Spirit in Christ alone by faith alone through Your grace alone from Your Word.
