We come before you to confess our sin as Your redeemed and beloved children. May Your Spirit alone convict us of our sin and remind us of our pardon in Christ through repentance.

We confess that we too often rebelliously try to fashion You into our image and call for others to worship it like we do (Daniel 3:1-7).

We confess that we are guilty of worshipping the invented gods of others out of fear of what they will think of or do to us (Daniel 3:8-15).

We confess that we struggle to trust and worship You unless You meet our expectations and demands (Daniel 3:16-18).

We confess that we deal harshly with those who disagree with us even to the point of wanting their destruction as if we were God (Daniel 3:19-23).

We confess that we frequently fail to see where You are with us amid difficult circumstances (Daniel 3:24-30).

We confess all of these things before You because You are faithful to forgive us in Christ. Bless us with the assurance of our pardon by Your Holy Spirit in Christ alone by faith alone through Your grace alone from Your Word.
