Gracious and Merciful Father,

We come before you to confess our sin as Your redeemed and beloved children. May Your Spirit alone convict us of our sin and remind us of our pardon in Christ through repentance.

We confess that we frequently fail to do the work to which You have called us with an excellent spirit and faithfulness leaving others no ground for complaint or any fault to be found against us (Daniel 6:1-9).

We confess that we are unpracticed in the spiritual disciplines and means of grace (Daniel 6:10-11).

We confess that we have not served those who don’t believe in such a way that they would defend and seek to protect us from unjust attacks (Daniel 6:12-28).

We confess all of these things before You because You are faithful to forgive us in Christ. Bless us with the assurance of our pardon by Your Holy Spirit in Christ alone by faith alone through Your grace alone from Your Word.
