Gracious and Merciful Father,                                                        

We come before you to confess our sin as Your redeemed and beloved children. May Your Spirit alone convict us of our sin and remind us of our pardon in Christ through repentance.

We confess that we don’t fully believe that Jesus is sufficient to satisfy our spiritual hungers and thirsts (John 6:35-40).

We confess that we often grumble about and dispute Your sovereign wisdom and control in our salvation in Christ alone by faith alone through Your grace alone (John 6:41-59).

We confess that we frequently resist engaging with Your hard sayings and ignore the work of the Holy Spirit to help us understand (John 6:60-71).

We confess these things before You because You are faithful to forgive us in Christ. Bless us with the assurance of our pardon by Your Holy Spirit in Christ alone by faith alone through Your grace alone from Your Word.
