Gracious and Merciful Father,

We come before you to confess our sin as Your redeemed and beloved children. May Your Spirit alone convict us of our sin and remind us of our pardon in Christ through repentance.

We confess that we often care more about how things will impact us than with how they will affect Your name and glory (Matthew 26:17-29).

We confess that we frequently make bold promises that we can’t keep because of our weakness in and of ourselves (Matthew 26:30-35).

We confess that we regularly fail to watch and pray so as to join You in the work You are doing in the world (Matthew 26:36-46).

We confess all of these things before You because You are faithful to forgive us in Christ. Bless us with the assurance of our pardon by Your Holy Spirit in Christ alone by faith alone through Your grace alone from Your Word.
